Vapor Style Replacement Relays

The RelayCard V is a true vapor style direct replacement locomotive relay. Utilizing the same mounting holes and similar fast-on configuration as EMD’s part number 8363168 means these relays are direct Vapor replacements and require NO MODIFICATIONS OF ANY KIND !!! Since this is a direct replacement to a vapor style relay it holds true that a failure on this style relay requires replacement of the whole relay…Just like the vapor style.
These relays are epoxy encapsulated for excellent corrosion protection, reduced noise and ground protection well into the thousands of volts. A bright red LED status indicator is standard on these models. Chemical resistant, shock resistant and requires less than 2 WATTS to operate. The use of low EMI components means the RelayCard V won’t introduce harmful emissions into your electrical system nor will it interfere with even the most sensitive control systems. Current RelayCard V models include 2 form C and 3 form C. All RelayCard connections are non-polarized, which means there are no positive and negative labels to follow.
As an option the RelayCard V can be interfaced for control via TTL or CMOS. A TTL/CMOS compatible connector is added allowing interfacing with control circuits. Coil connections are replaced with battery positive and negative, all other connections remain the same. This option allows interfacing to a central computer system without replacing relays or rewiring locomotive electrical system. Custom configurations and models larger than 3 form C available.
